“A Journey of a Thousand Miles” tells the story of three international students from three different countries, and their struggles to adapt to the various social, cultural, and environmental differences in Canada. Exploring themes like homesickness, socialization and culture shock is the major idea of this documentary. While addressing their struggles, the documentary also describes what brings them joy in a foreign country, what keeps them grounded, and most importantly, how they cope with culture shock. By sharing the experiences of these students, the film tries to educate the future international students who may go through similar challenges in the future.
